Emperor's College

I am currently a student of Oriental Medicine at Emperor's College in Santa Monica.  I can't shake the feeling that I was brought to this school by a force unbeknownst to me.  Several key events and conditions created just the right climate for me to end up in this particular situation.  I am immensely happy that everything worked out as it did despite the anxiety I was having about so many decisions and changes.

The school is phenomenal.  The teachers are excellent and my fellow students are remarkable people on a similar path as my own.  Everyone is supportive of everyone else and there is no sense of competition, only encouragement.  It gladdens my heart to see everyone dedicated not only to this medicine, but to healing the human condition in general.  I am constantly being exposed to new ideas from all fields of thought.  It is my first experience of schooling that feels personal to me, and that flows in the same direction as my own inspiration.

Needless to say, many of my future posts will be related to this medicine and to Taoist philosophy.  Until then...

A Pond is for Healing

A couple of years ago I was living very close to a group of ponds that I would visit frequently to experience hours of solitude.  All of the ponds were accessible, except for one which was hidden.  That is to say, it wasn't at first obvious how one could sit and enjoy the ambience of the pond as it was besieged by tall reeds and other plant life.  However, one day I followed a path I hadn't taken before, and lo and behold I found myself standing before a vast circle of glimmering water.  I was standing on a sort of peninsula, surrounded in every direction by the pond, encapsulated in a womb-like feeling.

I was overjoyed with this discovery.  Sometimes fish would suddenly break the surface of the water making theatrical leaps.  other times the birds that fed on them would make these very impressive dives from up high, descending at an alarming rate and with shocking  precision.  The pond would ripple gently towards me, and I would soften my focus to allow that energy of returning to permeate and magnetize my body.  These meditative states were reflective of the pond, and the thought-forms of my daily mind were altogether absent.  I noticed that my biorhythms slowed down as I became relaxed, and I began to resonate more closely with the natural pace of life.  Everyone can commune with nature in this way.  It is only necessary to have the ability to extrapolate one's awareness from the substance of everyday thoughts, and to make time for such excursions apart from the noise and business of one's daily routine.  It can be observed that different  expressions of life have different speeds at which they operate.  A hummingbird, for instance, may perceive the activity of a human being in much the same way that we would perceive the movements of a turtle, and so on..  If we can match the rate of vibration of any form of life, whether it be plants, animals, rocks, or other people, we can enter an empathic rapport with that being and are allowed access to deeper levels of information.  Imagine, if as a species we can remember these simple principles of relating, we can manifest a higher expression of social justice and maintain a natural balance.

Time and the Technosphere

As of recent, I have been reading a book titled Time and The Technosphere by Jose Arguelles, and I have found his ideas fascinating and of great importance for us now.  This post is meant only as a brief introduction to some of the ideas presented in this work (until further elaboration).  The concept requiring the deepest contemplation upon is that of the nature of time.  Arguelles suggests a radically different way of perceiving time.  The following quote is to be considered:

"Just as air is the atmosphere of the body, so time is the atmosphere of the mind. If the time in which we live consists of uneven months and days regulated by mechanized minutes and hours, that is what becomes of our mind: a mechanized irregularity. Since everything follows from mind, it is no wonder that the atmosphere in which we live daily becomes more polluted, and the greatest complaint is: "I just don't have enough time!" Who owns your time, owns your mind. Own your own time and you will know your own mind"

He proposes that the standard way time is viewed by
modern physics as being "the arrow of time," which
sweeps linearly through the x and y axis of space is not at all expressive of the true nature of time.
Space has three dimensions and time is the fourth.  It is not simply a mere addition to the three.  It envelops space, allowing for manifestation and for that which is manifest to experience itself as it does.  On the third dimensional plane, it may be symbolized as a vertical dimension while space occupies the horizontal.  However, although time includes the three dimensions of space, it also exists as its own dimension where it may be expressed as being radial in nature.

"Connecting the macro realm of atemporality and high time, and the lower or micro realm of atemporality and high time, is the vertical time vertice of the ever-present now"

The velocity of time is expressed in this formula:

Tv   ---> Infinity

In other words, time possesses instantaneity in its
velocity,  compared to the speed of light which still
needs time to travel.  Thus, telepathy and psychic
phenomena function as an innate aspect of time.
Time is expressed by Arguelles in this formula:

T(E) = Art

Energy factored by time equals Art.  This means that the manifest world is in a harmonious state because it is factored by time.  Time is the universal factor of
synchronization. Now comes some fascinating
information. According to Arguelles, Time has a perfect
mathematical ratio of 13:20.  It is difficult to see now,
but this has some major implications that spills over
into every aspect of our consciousness.  It is necessary
to understand the effects of a calendar system as it
relates to consciousness.  The calendar that we use is
called the gregorian calendar which is based upon the
principle of the solar day.  The calendar is awkward in
the way the months are divided and is actually not well
harmonized with other biorhythms.  It possesses the
frequency of 12:60 (12 months in a year, 60 minutes in
an hour).  This frequency turns out to be detrimental to
our evolution on this planet because of this fact.  The
Mayan calendar is one of great importance because it
is based on the harmonic principles of 13:20.

Arguelles uses some strange sounding terms, a couple
which are borrowed from a Russian thinker named
Vernadsky.  The first of which is Biosphere.  In short,
this is the harmonious expression of nature in time.  As
the name suggests, it is the sphere of life.  The second
borrowed term is Noosphere.   This is the ideal and
natural progression of planetary evolution where human thought and consciousness creates a new reality in accord with the biosphere.  The third important term
that Arguelles uses is Technosphere.  This is
representative of the reality which the human mind has
created thus far in relation to cosmic harmonics.  It
deals with industrialization and technological
advancement and is included in this theory to be
understood as an actual sphere which exists on an with
the planet.  It is given a sense of physicality and is
included in the overall awareness of planetary
consciousness.  It is however, in conflict with the
biosphere.  It is attempting to exist as a separate force,
though it too is in the domain of time and can be
thought to be a result of the frequency of time through
which it operates.  That is, time in a linear sense and the limitations of a mechanical framework of time that
inhibits the liberation of consciousness from
transitioning into the Noosphere.  However, the
technosphere is subject to the law of entropy because
it is not sustainable and is dependent on the biosphere
for it's existence.  Implied in this whole dynamic is that
either the biosphere or technosphere will first be
destroyed.  It is truly a troubling thought that the
biosphere be destroyed.  The technosphere will also
be destroyed as a consequence.  On the other hand, if
the technosphere falls, it may at first seem to be a
great devastation, but is actually a deeper blessing.  The technosphere of the modern world functions on the 12:60 frequency of the Gregorian calendar, which is not the natural harmonic frequency.  Prior to the widespread acceptance of the Gregorian solar calendar, ancient peoples harmonized with a lunar calendar based on 13 moons, and essentially the 13:20 ratio.

This concludes my introduction to this book.  It is worth reading if you are interested in a deeper understanding of the subject.  I am still reading it, so  will post more of the essential points at a later time.  The message here is in keeping with the paradigm shift many of us feel in our hearts already - the positive direction we wish to steer our future, away from the madness of the governing rule.  Together we are more powerful than the lesser forces because we are infused with the potency of truth and are in alignment with the very source of power itself.  We must learn to think by considering the essence of things, so that we can soberly open our eyes and see "the big picture."  Through my writing, I want to communicate a subtle feeling, something like a suspended gasp, an excitement dancing in serenity, because it is a frequency that can get us through the rough times necessary in the process of change.  I think we have a sense in our collective psyche, that existence is stirring, that the potential of myriad possibilities are brimming to the top and that soon, it will all overflow, washing over us like a great flood of consciousness.  At least, this is my feeling, though I certainly can't be the only one.  I can sense it all around me, this hidden light.  We seem largely ignorant to the fact that telepathy is what we are always doing.  We are tuning in to some channel or other, accessing different streams of consciousness.  The idea of growing in life is finding out the source of all streams, following the greatest ones we can find so that we may come at last to the ultimate ocean of life.

I wish your travels' blessing..

Sincerely,

Welcome to The Hidden Pond

Aloha, Namaste!!

Welcome dear friends.  You have discovered The Hidden Pond.  My name is Ramy (Hrw) and this is my blog where I intend to share and exchange positive vibrations with you all, like ripples in a pond.  I believe that the power of consciousness is so profound that any ripple we project will echo throughout the universe.  I know that the wise among us have discovered that life is a precious gift and that all mystery and divinity is hidden within us.  It is wonderful that we are able to have this experience together.  We are in the same proverbial boat called humanity, and beyond that we are one with the essence of all things.  We are on this grand voyage and weren't born of the earth to sink with it, but for all to rise.  Our destiny is to unite heaven and earth in ourselves and in the world we live in.  In my vision of life this is the highest attainable beauty.  I believe this is a time in which all paradox is to be reconciled.  We must venture beyond science and religion to a perspective of holism, wherein we can integrate the various dimensions of our being.

I don't quite know how to properly introduce myself, because truly I do not yet know the full extent of myself.  That is what we are all learning here.  What is the purpose of life?  It is realized simply in being, experiencing, growing in love and awareness, making more connections, and understanding the energies at play.  This blog is about all of that.  Information like all else carries a particular frequency signature.  We ourselves are but a pitch in the cosmic harmony.  Therefore, the communication between us is such a thrill!  Let's make music in all that we do.  Even those dissonant notes create depth in the overall harmony.  Nothing is to be excluded from our compassion and understanding.

It may take a while to develop this blog into a body of knowledge, but it will grow as I do and eventually  I hope to be able to share much of what I feel is worthwhile.  A pond can be a place of stillness and reflection.  Let us contemplate and meditate together in this way.  I encourage any sharing of question or insight, whether it be personal, or an aspect of one's studies and exploration.  Let our voices find true expression!

Sincerely,
Hrw the Hidden Light
